World Water Day Observed on September 18th

World Water Day is observed annually on September 18th. This day was adopted by the World Environment Federation in July 2006 and has been observed every year since. The importance of World Water Day lies in raising public awareness and encouraging involvement in the protection of water sources. It engages communities in monitoring the conditions of rivers, streams, and other water bodies, as water is essential to human life and the biodiversity that exists on Earth. It is crucial to be mindful of our actions to protect and preserve clean water. This year, Big Fall Eco Warriors have been doing cleanup from the beginning of year to ensure that their river is clean. Additionally, the environmental club extended their clean up to the Sapodilla Caye.
