Stone Crab and Queen Conch Open Season

The Belize Fisheries Department hereby informs fishers that the open season for queen conch and stone crab fishing will run from October 1st to June 30th, 2025. Fishers are advised to follow all regulations set forth by the Fisheries Department when in possession of these species. Additionally, the Fisheries Department informs fishers that if the queen conch production quota is met early, the queen conch fishing season will be closed. The Fisheries Department urges the public to report any illegal fishing activities by calling their office at 224-4552 or by emailing them.

BYRISE’s 3rd Annual Summer Camp came to a close on Friday July 24th. At the conclusion of the camp, certificates were presented to the young participants. For the first time, the camp also concluded with an exhibition baseball game, giving some of the children the opportunity to play in their very first baseball game.
