US Ambassador Michelle Kwan made her first visit to Punta Gorda.

Last week Thursday, the recently appointed US Ambassador to Belize, Michelle Kwan, made her first visit to Punta Gorda Town. She presented a fully equipped ambulance to our town that will help improve the delivery of health services in Toledo. In a small ceremony at the PG Community Hospital compound, she was warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Punta Gorda Town, Charles Salgado, the two area representatives, the Deputy Director of Hospital Service, Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Regional Manager. During the ceremony, the mayor handed over the key to Punta Gorda Town to the Ambassador. At the end of the ceremony, the symbolic ambulance siren was sounded by Ambassador Michelle Kwan.
