Ambassador of the USA to Belize was in Toledo

On Thursday, the Ambassador of the USA to Belize, Michelle Kwan, made her first visit to Punta Gorda Town to present a fully equipped ambulance to our town that will improve the delivery of health services in Toledo.  Her excellency Ambassador Michelle Kwan was recently appointed as the Ambassador of the United States to Belize.  During a small ceremony at the PG Community Hospital compound, she was warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Punta Gorda Town, Charles Salgado, the two area representatives in Toledo, and the Deputy Director of Hospital Service, Chief Nursing Officer in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Nurse Lizett Bell and Deputy Regional Manager Dr. Jorge Sajia.  During the ceremony, the mayor handed over the Key to Punta Gorda Town to the Ambassador.  At the end of the ceremony, the symbolic sound of the ambulance siren was aired by Ambassador Michelle Kwan.  It was a historic moment and a successful ceremony.
