PG Day 2023

Punta Gorda was first declared a town on January 21st, 1895. According to the 1921 census, the population of PG at that time was 926 persons. Punta Gorda functions as the economic center for the surrounding villages in the Toledo district. The main economic activities include businesses, services, construction, fishing, tourism, micro-enterprises, and public services. On Saturday, January 28th, 2023, families, and friends celebrated PG Day. It was a day to enjoy, celebrate and learn. The Punta Gorda Town Council, in collaboration with the Toledo First Movement, coordinated festivities, lots of fun activities, interesting displays, and exciting entertainment. There were also booths for businesses to participate and share about their organization on PG Day.
