Market Garbage Box Demolished; Construction Begins.

Just days before the Municipal election, the garbage box at Punta Gorda vegetable market was torn down. The box, used by vendors to dispose of their waste, was deemed inadequate due to damage and insufficient capacity. The town administrator revealed plans for a larger replacement, with a redesigned entrance and a scenic surface.  Construction began with the casting of the foundation. In the interim, vendors are advised to use garbage cans at the PG central park. PGTV will provide ongoing coverage of this development.
