Eworth Garbutt continues to save the Monkey River Village shoreline.

Eworth Garbutt is a businessman originally from Punta Negra Village who is now working out of Placencia. Last year Eworth made headlines when he insisted on saving the silk cayes, even though the government and a scientist opposed his move. Since he saved the Silk Cayes, he continues on his mission to save the shorelines. This week Eworth was busy with his team saving some more homes from falling into the sea in the village of Monkey River.  We understand that there will be a celebration this Sunday in Monkey River for the saving of five more houses from falling into the sea.
