Zero Carbon Fishing Tournament 2026

The Zero Carbon Fishing Tournament is the only one of its kind in Belize. The tournament is held to promote environmental consciousness and to demonstrate that those who cannot afford a motor can still participate and enjoy a fishing tournament. As the name suggests, no motors were allowed in the competition. This weekend was filled with excitement as paddlers set out to catch their fish. At the end of the day, three participants walked away with prizes. First place went to Marcos and Leroy Caal. Second place was awarded to Earl Boden Jr., also known as “McKay.” Third place also went to Earl Boden Jr., who landed the biggest jack. Several consolation prizes were also presented. The award for the youngest fisherman went to Leroy Caal. We would like to congratulate all of the winners and participants of this year’s Zero Carbon Fishing Tournament.
