It is one of the largest recycling initiatives in Belize. Known as the Toledo Temple Trail, the project is being built by Chaos Oasis, an organization based in Columbia Village. What makes the initiative unique is that it combines environmental conservation with art inspired by Maya heritage. The project is dedicated to cleaning and restoring the land while creating an environmental art trail that celebrates the rich cultural history of the Maya people. Community members gathered for the official groundbreaking ceremony.
