Last week, we told you about the press release issued by the People’s National Party regarding the fish kills in the Belize River. As of now, there has been no confirmed cause for the deaths of the fish in the Belize River Valley. The Department of the Environment has issued a release advising the public not to eat fish caught from the affected area or use water from the river. The department is currently investigating the cause of the fish deaths.
