After nearly five decades of serving Belize and connecting communities across the country, James Bus Line Ltd. has announced the end of its public transportation services. The company, which began serving Belize in 1978, has been a familiar name on the nation’s roads, carrying generations of passengers through changing times, from dirt roads and flooded bridges to today’s modern highways. In a message reflecting on its long history, James Bus Line expressed gratitude to the thousands of passengers, families, communities, employees, and supporters who have been part of its journey. The company says public transportation services will now be fully operated by the National Bus Company, while James Bus Line will continue its operations by focusing exclusively on private bus charters for tours, events, group trips, special occasions, and other transportation needs.
