First Ever Primary School Battle Of The Drums

The first-ever Primary School Battle of the Drum took place on Friday, November 1st, at the Punta Gorda Sporting Complex. This event provided an opportunity for primary school students to showcase their talents in drumming, singing, and dancing. It also created a space for children to interact within a culturally rich environment. Nine primary schools from the southern part of the country participated, including schools from Seine Bight, Hopkins, George Town, Dangriga, Barranco, and Punta Gorda Town. Gulisi Community Primary School from Dangriga won first place, St. Alphonsus R.C. School took second place, and Sacred Heart R.C. School came in third. The Primary School Battle of the Drum was a huge success and was supported by Hon. Dr. Luis Zabaneh, Hon. Rodwell Fergusson, and Hon. Dr. Osmond Martinez.
