New Executive Director for TIDE.

The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment TIDE has been around for twenty-six years now. Wil Maheia is the founder and the first Executive Director but when he departed in 2007, Mrs. Celia Mahung took over as Executive Director of the organization for the next 16 years.  That came to an end on Tuesday when Mrs.  Mahung handed over the reins to the new and in coming Assad Magana.  Mr. Magana is no stranger to Toledo, as he has lived here for many years and has made Toledo his home. He is highly qualified with a Master’s Degree in International Development and Management from Lund University in Sweden and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from El Zamorano University in Honduras, with more 15 years’ experience in Developmental Financing and Project Management in Belize and the Latin American and Caribbean Region.
