Garifuna Delegation Arrives in Punta Gorda

A delegation of members of the Garifuna clergy arrived by boat in Punta Gorda Town for Hamalali Garinagu Tidan Ligilisi Katolika also known as “The Voice of the Garifuna in the Catholic Church” 6th Congress.
The Garifuna Inculturated Pastoral of North and Central America was created to analyze and reflect on the being and making of Catholic Christian Spirituality and its linkage to Garifuna Cultural Spirituality. The Congress will be held in Dangriga Town at the Delille Academy in Dangriga, from July 31st to August 3rd. The Congress is estimated to be attended by over 150 Garifuna Representatives from all over the world. Garifuna Bishop, Bishop Larry Nicasio will be presiding.
