Educators, advocates, and students converged at the University of Belize’s Toledo Campus for the COBEC Winter Conference 2026, a forum centered on strengthening human rights within higher education. Held under the theme “Advancing Human Rights in Tertiary Education: Gender Equity and Indigenous Inclusion,” the conference highlighted critical conversations on equality, representation, and access in Belize’s academic spaces, with a special focus on empowering marginalized voices and fostering inclusive learning environments.
