Tropic Air PG Closure Update

Last Thursday, October 1st, in the pack Room at the BTIA Welcome Center, it was decided that the Area Representative, Dr. Osmond Martinez, would meet with Tropic Air personnel to determine whether they could continue their services to Punta Gorda. That meeting was scheduled to take place on Friday; however, as of this time, there is no official report on how the meeting went. Nevertheless, an unconfirmed report indicates that the meeting was not successful, as Tropic Air insists on closing its doors on October 30th. PNP Leader Wil Maheia is urging the public to get involved, as it is very important to maintain air connectivity to the Toledo District.
