The months of May to September are recognized as sea turtle nesting season in Belize. As the season approaches, the Toledo Institute for Development and Environment is taking proactive steps to educate the public on the importance of protecting these endangered species. Last week, TIDE conducted a training session at the Sapodilla Cayes for individuals involved in sea turtle monitoring efforts. The training saw the participation of representatives from FINS Organization, Toledo Exposure, PGTV, TIDE rangers, and Bright Water, which also provided lunch for participants.
