Kriol Summer Camp Closing Ceremony

Last week, we told you about the launch of the first-ever Kriol Summer Camp,

 where young people from Punta Gorda and the surrounding communities learned

 more about Kriol culture. One of the main highlights of the camp was teaching 

participants traditional drumming, Kriol vocabulary, and folk tales.

The WILD501 Exhibition made its final stop in Punta Gorda last week.  The exhibition is currently on display at the Punta Gorda Welcome Center.  WILD501 is an exhibition and virtual educational tool featuring videos  and images created by Carol and Richard Foster. For more than 30 years,  the couple has been documenting Belize’s rich wildlife and natural  beauty through photography and filmmaking. Their  work has been featured by National Geographic and the BBC.

Ya’axché Seedling Distribution
