Dawn Dean, a proud farmer from the beautiful coastal village of Barranco, who won the prestigious Rosita Arvigo award. We have more wonderful news about this remarkable female farmer. Dawn is not only known for her dedication to agriculture, but she has now made a significant academic contribution as well. She recently published a historical research paper in the Journal of Belize and Research, documenting the use of Vanilla Pompona in Belize and the wider region over the last 400 years.
