Schools reopened on January 6th, with many students and teachers traveling to and from school daily. Those commuting to and from Boom Creek and the Magoon area must contend with the deplorable condition of the streets. The roads in the Magoon area are in poor condition, riddled with potholes that fill with water during the rainy season, often leaving entire sections submerged. These streets have been neglected for years, despite numerous empty promises from the Punta Gorda Town Council and area representatives to upgrade them. With ongoing rainfall, the roads continue to deteriorate, urgently requiring attention and repairs.
