Belizeans across the country continue to push back against the privatization of public seafronts, insisting that access to the shoreline must remain open as guaranteed by law. For years, concerns have grown that individuals with financial resources and political influence have ignored these regulations, limiting public access to coastal areas. Tensions recently surfaced in Warrie Bight in Corozal, where a group of residents publicly expressed their dissatisfaction and called on the government to uphold the law and protect public access to the seafront.
