The Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute has opened the Public Inspection Period for the Draft Belize Sustainable Ocean Plan from May 25 to July 24, 2026. The draft plan will serve as Belize’s legally enforceable framework for managing ocean space by identifying areas for conservation and sustainable human activities. The public and stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft plan and submit feedback through the online survey to help ensure it meets the needs of all ocean users and supports the sustainable management of Belize’s marine resources.
