The Corazon High School building is back in the spotlight once again. The construction of the building has been ongoing for over five years, yet it remains incomplete. Last year, a new contractor was brought in, and several local construction workers were hired. However, last week, the workers claimed they were sent home as the contractor plans to bring in new workers from outside the district. We confirmed that the workers were indeed sent home, but this was because their part of the project was finished, and the contractor will now bring in additional workers to complete the final stages of the job. This decision has caused frustration among many local construction workers, who feel they could have finished the work themselves instead of relying on outside help.
