The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence began on November 25th and runs until December 10th, coinciding with World Human Rights Day. During this two-week period, organizations worldwide campaign to call for action to end violence against women. These efforts aim to raise awareness about gender-based violence, challenge discriminatory attitudes, and advocate for improved laws and services to eliminate violence against women permanently. On Monday November 25th, the Building People Movement (BPM) joins the global community in launching this important initiative. In collaboration with the National Women’s Commission, BPM hosted a flag-raising ceremony to mark the start of the 16 Days of Activism. The event took place at the Punta Gorda Town Council Conference Room.
