Access to Opportunity is an NGO out of San Pedro which strives to fund projects that ultimately help to develop the community. Over the Garifuna Settlement Day holiday, 3 winners from Toledo were announced that would be funded by Access to Opportunity for Garifuna community projects. The three projects that will be receiving funding are: teaching farming to young people in Punta Gorda, upgrading the Barranco community center, and erosion prevention in Barranco Village.
