Belize Men’s National Volleyball Team Celebrated After AFECAVOL Gold

On Friday July 24th, residents gathered to welcome and celebrate Belize’s men’s national volleyball team, following their gold-medal victory at the III AFECAVOL Men’s Final Four. The motorcade travelled through several streets in Punta Gorda before ending at Central Park. The celebration also recognized the achievement of a member of the national team who proudly hails from Punta Gorda Elizer Mejia.

WILD501 Exhibition In PG

The WILD501 Exhibition made its final stop in Punta Gorda last week.  The exhibition is currently on display at the Punta Gorda Welcome Center.  WILD501 is an exhibition and virtual educational tool featuring videos  and images created by Carol and Richard Foster. For more than 30 years,  the couple has been documenting Belize’s rich wildlife and natural  beauty through photography and filmmaking. Their  work has been featured by National Geographic and the BBC.
