While many marked the patriotic 10th day of September with parades and festivities, the Columbia River Keepers chose a different path. One rooted in environmental stewardship. In honor of the national holiday, the group organized a river cleanup. Rather than marching through the streets, volunteers took to the water, removing debris and raising awareness about the importance of protecting local ecosystems. Their efforts not only honored the spirit of the holiday but also served as a reminder that patriotism can take many forms.
