Punta Gorda’s own Terrick ‘Mackaz’ Magdaleno is set to release his debut Garifuna album on February 1st, 2025, in celebration of PG Day. The highly anticipated album pays tribute to the late Garifuna music icon, Paul Nabor, whose legacy has long been honored during PG Day festivities. In previous years, the Battle of the Drums commemorated Nabor’s birthday on PG Day. Now, Mackaz aims to continue that tradition through his music. Fans can expect a collection of songs that reflect Garifuna heritage and storytelling. This album will be available on all streaming platforms.
