When it comes to standing up and fighting there is a big difference between the North and the South. For years the South has been complaining about bad road conditions but not a single day has there been a protest about the road conditions in Punta Gorda Town or the Toledo District.Yesterday the difference was clear to see the people of the North fight when they are in trouble and when they want something. Yesterday many residents of Corozal and Orange Walk staged a protest in the middle of the road to protest bad road conditions; in addition their area representative called out the government of Belize to fix their roads. In Toledo only the Honorable Oscar Requena has so far stepped up and asked for the fixing of the roads. Resident have been suffering for many years but have not yet taken to the streets to protest.
