San Benito Poite is one of the most remote villages in the Toledo District and getting there is not an easy task; because of the lack of road maintenance, it is very challenging to get there. In the past, during the rainy season, it was almost impossible due to flooded roads and no bridge. This all changed when the villagers decided they were tired of waiting on this government to deliver their bridge, they got together and with the help from many, together they built their own bridge. The bridge was officially opened Tuesday June 19, 2018 and now villagers can go in and out of the village much easier. PGTV says congratulations to everyone who donated and helped in any way.
