Toledo Private Landownwers Meet Again Over Communal Land Concerns

Nearly three weeks ago, several private landowners met with the Minister of Indigenous Affairs and CEO, Chester Williams, to discuss land tenure issues and explore ways to co-exist respectfully with the Maya communities advocating for communal land rights. On Saturday August 2nd, 2025, the group reconvened, this time without any government officials at the Toledo Bible College campus. Only their legal counsel was present.
