The TIDE Conservation Festival was a huge success! The event started on Friday October 10th, with the opening gala. On Saturday October 11th, there was the youth conservation competition where George Town Technical High School took first place. Sunday October 12th, was the grand finale. One of the main highlights of the event was the fishing tournament. This year, there were two separate competitions, one for the Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve and another for the Port Honduras Marine Reserve. First place for the Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve went to Team Sea Buggy, captained by Aaron Garbutt, while Team Waluco, led by Captain Ezri Mangar, took first place in the Port Honduras Marine Reserve tournament.
