A new fire truck was spotted in Punta Gorda Town a welcome sight for residents and firefighters alike. In recent years, the two government-issued fire trucks in the district had become run down and were no longer in working condition, leaving the department struggling to respond to emergencies. In September, thanks to the support of the Rotary Club, Toledo received a much-needed fire truck that has been performing excellently. Now, the addition of another truck brings even greater relief and readiness to the local fire service.
