The Battle of the Drums is an organization that has taken the lead in preserving Garifuna culture in Southern Belize and, by extension, the Gulf of Honduras. One way they do this is by promoting song competitions. Over the last ten years, they have hosted annual song competitions, and now they are compiling those songs into an album, making it available on over twenty streaming platforms. The Battle of the Drums launched the album at the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts in Belize City on Friday April 17th, 2026.
