The Battle of the Drums is proudly celebrating 20 years since its inception, two decades of honoring and uplifting Garifuna culture, music, and tradition. Each year, the Secretariat unveils a full calendar of events beginning at the end of October, and this year is no different. Thursday October 30th marks the first major event on the lineup: the High School Battle of the Drums. This competition was held in Belize City, at the Civic Center. The venue was filled with energy and enthusiasm as high schools from across Belize take the stage to showcase their talent and cultural pride.
