The hummingbird hills are known as one of the most
beautiful places in the country of Belize. Through these hills run the North Stann Creek
River which provides water for the people of Dangriga town. Well, these precious and
beautiful landscapes are being threatened by unsustainable mining of sand from the river.
By doing this the river gets polluted downstream, and residents suffers the consequences.
