gillnets in PHMR

In November 2020, almost three years ago, gillnets were banned in Belize. But three years later gillnets are still being set in our waters. Yesterday, the Belize Territorial Volunteers under the leadership of SEADAFT tours owner Captain Neville Smith, pulled up a record number of gillnets from waters in the Port Honduras Marine Reserve area. It was unfortunate to see the damage that the gillnets have caused says the leader of the BTV Wil Maheia, we hope that the relevant authorities are paying attention and step up their patrols in the area. PGTV would like to congratulate SEADAFT Tours for a job well done.
