Over the years, the streets in Punta Gorda Town have continued to be in deplorable conditions. Citizens are appealing to the Town Council, and little effort has been made to address the situation. Now, not only are the streets needing attention, the bridges that connect the streets are in worse condition. Most of the wooden bridges in the Indianville area need attention as soon as possible. Last night, a citizen was fortunate to make it safely home because the Sunflower Street Bridge in the Indianville area broke while passing with his vehicle and boat. We hope these bridges get the attention they so urgently need.
