Some of you will remember the uproar a couple months or so ago when Eworth Garbutt operating out of Placencia, organized a citizens group to save the Silk cayes. Well, this caused a stir as it makes the government look like they were not doing anything to save one of the most important marine reserves in the World. The reserve also brings in millions of dollars to Belize annually. Well, the government had stepped in and started to listen to the voices of the people and now there is room for celebration.
