BTV back to Gracias a Dios Border Marker

On the 30th of April 1859 was when the border treaty was signed between Britain and Spain that established Belize’s Border. Every year for more than 10 years now, the Belize Territorial Volunteers have visited and cleaned around the border marker. This coming weekend, the BTV will once again make a trip to the border marker to remind Belizeans that indeed we have a border with Guatemala. What will be special about this weekend is the fact that we will be planting a mahogany tree in honor of Andrew Enriquez who was a BTV financier but sadly passed away earlier this year.
