The Red Poppy is a flowering plant which is used around the World to remember those that died during wars or have served in the military. Yesterday, Veterans Day or Remembrance Day was observed here in PG to honor those that have served in World War One and Two and in the BDF. There was a mass at St. Peter Claver Church and wreaths were laid at the veteran’s tomb at the Mount Olivet Cemetery to symbolize respect and honor for their service.
