The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment TIDE conducted their first Managed access fisher’s forum. It was held on Tuesday May 29, 2018. The aim was to restore fisheries in the Mesoamerican Barrier reef system project. Presentations were based on zone 4 and 5, updates on the Port Honduras Marine reserve and Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve, updates on the European Union project, TIDE community development projects, information being collected through the market catch surveys, and recent updates and concerns from fishers and the fisher appreciation event.
