Humana People to People Belize launches new project

On Tuesday 13th, March 2018 Humana People to People Belize, in partnership with the Belize Family Life Association (BFLA) and technical assistance from The Human Rights Commission of Belize (HRCB) launched the project titled “Strengthen, Empower, Enforce Human Rights SeeHR” co funded by The European Union through The European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
Present at the event was the European Union Head of Delegation, Ambassador Magorzata Wasilewski who gave the key message and highlighted importance and value of the project to the Belizean rural communities.
This project targets families- Women, Men, Children and Youths, Community Leaders, Vulnerable Groups, Indigenous Mayas and Immigrants in 10 Rural Communities in Southern Belize, in the Stann Creek District, Cowpen and in the Toledo District, Bella Vista, San Isidro, Trio, Bladen, Indian Creek, Medina Bank, Silver Creek, Golden Stream and San Miguel over the next 3 years. The main objective of the project is to improve the over-all well-being of the population of Belize by enhancing knowledge and awareness of Human Rights and contributing to ensuring their protection.
