Toledo Community College wins National Volleyball competition

Monday, November 13, 2017. The National Secondary Schools Sports Association staged the national volleyball championship over the weekend.

Male and female high school teams from across the country took part in the event which was hosted by the Belize High School at its gymnasium in Belize City.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Saint Catherine’s Academy won in the female category, while Toledo Community College took the championship in the male category.

Second place in the female category went to Stann Creek Ecumenical College, while Belmopan Comprehensive School took third place.

In the male category, Ladyville Technical High School won second place, while Muffles College won third place.

The Toledo Community College male team brought home two of the individual national awards.

Randall Winright got the award for Best Setter and was voted the Championships Most Valuable Player.
