Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Police Constable Andy Choco was seriously injured in a road traffic accident on Friday morning on the Southern Highway in Yemeri Grove village.

According to reports, PC Choco was driving his motorcycle when he crashed into the back of a passenger bus.

According to reports received by PGTV, the bus had stopped to pick up three passengers and was in reverse to reach the potential fares when the incident happened.

One person who witnessed the incident told PGTV that the three persons who were going to catch the bus, allegedly ran across the road as PC Choco approached and he attempted to avoid hitting them, lost control and collided into the back of the bus.

P.C Choco was taken first to the Punta Gorda hospital and later transferred to the KHMH in Belize City where over the weekend his wife confirmed that he was in a coma.

According to Florentina Choco, the family is appealing for donation of blood so that PC Choco can continue to receive urgent medical attention.

His wife says that O-Positive blood is needed.
