Graduation ceremonies were held on Friday afternoon for the trainees of the apprenticeship program being carried out by the Toledo Institute for Development and the Environment, TIDE in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services.
Funding for the program comes from the United States embassy in Belize.
PGTV was at Friday’s graduation and we spoke with some of the trainees.
According to the executive director of TIDE Celia Mahung and Senior Youth Development Officer Kera Bowen Polonio, the apprenticeship program is well worth the investment being made.
