Forest Home, TOLEDO. Monday, January 23, 2017. Motorists on the Southern Highway in Forest Home village were greeted on Monday morning by a traffic checkpoint near the Rail B Service Limited compound.
It was a multi-agency operation that did more than just check for driver’s license and vehicle insurance stickers.
It was a survey stop where drivers were asked their opinion on road conditions and other issues, all in an effort to obtain data which will inform public policy on road safety in the future.
According to officials of the Transport Department, similar checkpoints will be conducted on other major highways around the country in the coming days.
