Bella Vista village, TOLEDO. Thursday, January 19, 2017. Transport Minister Edmond Castro and officials of the Department of Transport met on Wednesday in Bella Vista Village, Toledo, with operators of shuttle buses in the area.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues surrounding the services provided to the public and the process of regularization and streamlining of those services.
According to a government press release, during Wednesday’s meeting, Minister Castro issued permits to the local shuttle bus operators.
Minister Castro was joined at the presentation of the permits by the Chairman of the village Juan Carlos Martinez.
The shuttle bus operators were thankful to the Department of Transport and Ministry officials for facilitating them in providing an essential service for their community and securing their livelihood.
Minister Castro thanked the operators for their expressed commitment to providing only quality service to the public and of adhering to the rules and regulations as set out in their permits.
Minister Castro was accompanied on his visit to Bella Vista village by Chief Transport Officer Tirsio Galvez and the assistant Vallan Hyde.
Area Representative Michael Espat also accompanied the DOT officials on the visit.
